 ers due to the diverse array of habitats including hundreds of acres of ri
 parian forest\, open meadows\, a variety of small natural and man-made lak
 es along the Cypress Creek corridor\, and cultivated garden spaces.\n\nThi
 s is a beginner-friendly and educational birding program. Birders can expe
 ct to see year-round birds such as cardinals\, bluebirds\, pileated woodpe
 ckers\, and chickadees\, as well as migratory hummingbirds\, warblers\, ki
 tes\, and cuckoos. We even see an occasional Bald Eagle!\n\nBring your own
  binoculars or borrow a pair of ours. Participation counts as Field Resear
 ch volunteer hours for Texas Master Naturalists. Children under the age of
  16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please wear closed-toed s
 hoes and be prepared to walk up to 2 miles on pavers and crushed asphalt t
 rails as well as grass. Meet in front of the Mercer Visitor Center.\n\nAge
